My first colour blocking mani!

Hi all. So i have so many different kinds of nail art i want to try and i thought i'd write them all down and actually sit down and try one this week. Today i tried colour blocking. I'm really happy with how it turned out. My ring finger's polish at the end ended up really thick by the time i had done a few coats of each colour so excuse that. Yes, my finger does look deformed and fat!

I used a spare striper polish brush to draw the lines in the matching colours. I used China Glaze Snow as my base to make the colours pop.... Well i didn't even know why i used white to begin with, i just thought it was what you did first lol.. But it did help in the end haha
All colours i used are from the Ulta3 Gelato collection.
Blue - Blue Heaven
Pink - Strawberry Sundae
Purple - Violet Rumble
Then i topped it all off with one coat of SV.

Hope you all enjoyed! I'm going to try and do more of these types of nail art. I also just bought some nail art striping tape off ebay for $2 so i will also have a play around at that. If there is anything else you think i should try out, let me know in the comment section below.

Have a good night! See you next time!

  2. I really like the look although I don't like how thick the layer can get with some polishes :/ I have had to use thinner on quite a few of the ulta3!

  5. Looks great! I've tried many times to colour block and it just results in me getting frustrated and aggressively removing it all haha. Well done for having the patience :) :)
