April Glossybox!

This is just going to be a quick one. I have my April Glossybox i haven't shown yet. This is the last box for GB as they are no more, and all the GB subscribers will be handed over to Lust Have It. I was actually pleasantly surprised with this months GB. I was going to unsubscribe after the March one but thought i'd give it one more month.

This is what i got:

The pretty box it all comes in every month.

All the contents.

Redwin Organics - Organics Moisturiser Orange & Bergamot
$4.95 for 500ml
Not what i would think that is a "high end" product but i think i'll give this a try.

Davroe - Therma Protection Spray.
$22.50 for 200ml
The second month in a row i got a thermal protection spray which is ok by me as i straighten my hair quite a bit.

Jurlique - Intense Recovery Mask
up to $95 for 125ml
wow this is expensive stuff. I use jurlique stuff but have never tried this, so i am looking forward to it although i am trying to use up all my Jurlique as i will be switching to Kosmea.

Uandi Natural - Age-reversal cream
up to $60 for 30ml
I have quite a few age reversal creams as well from the boxes. I haven't used any but i will definitely give this one a go.

Indola - Innova Repair (hair) capsules.
up to $17.95 for 15 (1ml each)
These are for damaged hair. The little card tells you how to use them. I got a sample of 3 which seems fair. Not sure if i'll use them as my hair doesn't really need repairing and it gets quite oily fast. I've noticed with things like this that they are oily and it doesn't really help with that for me.

Overall, It was a good box but not a great box. Most items i have had in the box before. Not the exact same but different brands. I've had a thermal heat spray, age-reversal cream and tonnes of moisturisers in previous boxes. So it is now getting a little boring. I was going to unsubscribe after this box but seeing as it Glossybox's last box and we are now going to be getting a Lust Have It box, i wanted to see what they were like first. That post is coming up soon.

Hope you all have a lovely long weekend!
See you next time.

March Glossybox & One year blogiversary!

Yay! It's my one year blogiversary today! I didn't even think i would make it here. Thanks everyone for coming on this journey with me so far! Stay tuned as i will have a giveaway soon. I just have to gather some stuff together and post it =).

Anyway, today i have my March Glossybox to show you! I thought that this would be my last one but i am really happy with what i got this month and i'm going for April's GB too. I'm so glad i didn't get that damn power band/bracelet!
I have been a bit lazy this month. I opened the box took photos and packed it back up until now! I haven't used anything in it yet... but i will. I've just been lazy!

The usual picture of the box it comes in.

The Contents:
Absolutely Gorgeous - Macadamia Face Cream
Eau Thermale Avene - Gentle Milk Cleanser
KMS California - Free Shape Hot Flex Spray
Kosmea - Hydrating Rosewater Mist
Thin Lizzy - Concealer Creme
3 Gift vouchers for various places (i'm sure have expired by now haha)

Absolutely Gorgeous - Macadamia Face Cream - Normal/Dry Skin 30ml
Create a barrier against moisture loss and slow down ageing with this Macadamia Nut face cream.
I can't smell the Macadamia at all, all i smell is rose/rosehip oil. I guess that would overpower the macadamia. Looking forward to trying it though.

Eau Thermale Avene - Gentle Milk Cleanser - 50ml
Avene's acclaimed Thermal Spring Water, found in these products, proves remarkable at hydrating and refreshing.
This says it's for dry to very dry sensitive skin. I have neither. I have normal skin type. I probably won't try it in a hurry. Reading the instructions, it sounds weird. It's a milk but it says nowhere do you wash it off, you just follow using a toner. hmmmmm!

KMS California - Free Shape Hot Flex Spray - 30ml
Expect your hair to feel soft, silky and with less breakage because this formula protects from heat and styling stressors.
This is what i am looking forward to using the most. I straighten my hair often and i never used to use a heat protectant. With that said i have a few different kinds of hair treatments for heat styling so i will use those up before trying this.

Kosmea - Hydrating Rosewater Mist - 25ml
Set your makeup or refresh your skin using this face mist made from rose petals.
I'm excited to try this as well! I have received their products in another Glossybox and i was really pleased. I did get some samples from Kosmea and i will be changing over from Jurlique to this stuff when i run out. I will keep this until i'm finished with Jurlique.

Thin Lizzy - Concealer Creme - 7.5ml
Cover up minor or major skin imperfections for all day coverage with this Concealer Creme.
I don't really wear a lot of makeup and when i do i don't use concealer. That's not to say i don't need it. I just never bothered with it. I should give it a go! haha.

Overall, I am happy with all products that came in this months box except the concealer i couldn't care about but i will give it a go.
What did you get in your box? Did you get the same or completely different items and are you happy with all your contents?

See you soon guys!

Feb Glossy Box!

I know a lot of you have already seen what's in Feb's glossy box from other blogs but i'd thought i'd show it at the end of the month and i can do a little review as well if i've used the products.

This months i was a little disappointed. I was really expecting more from a special "limited edition" box. I only got ONE (apart from the mini nail files) full sized product which was a nail polish (yay!) and i wasn't completely happy with some of the other products in the box, but that is what you get. Can't complain as long as you get your moneys worth.

So they went with a Valentines Day theme for Feb and made the outer and inner boxes hot Pink which i really like and kind of prefer it to the lighter pink ones.

Inner box which everything comes in, comes in really handy for storing things in. Mine are empty at the moment just sitting on my desk.... wondering what to put in them!

The usual wrapping. I won't add these silly photo's next time as it will be back to the normal pink box but i just wanted to show that this months was different.

This was what i received.  5 "deluxe" (i don't think some are deluxe) samples. And a little pack of those heart lollies which i ate straight away! haha

Bobbie Brown - Lash Glamour Extreme Lenghtening Mascara (sample size of 3ml, RRP $48 for 6ml)
This mascara helps makes you lashes ultra-long and separated. The bristles interlock with lashes likes a zipper, so individual lashes are coated.
I haven't used this yet as i don't wear a lot of make-up all the time and i have a few opened. I will try this though. But i don't think i will ever buy it as it's out of my price range. This is one of two deluxe samples.

Janes Iredale - tantasia Self Tanner (sample size of no idea, RRP $54/124ml)
Fool them all with a golden bronze, natural looking tanned face and body from this moisturising self-tanner.
I have actually never heard of this brand before. Not a huge fan of fake tan so i probably won't use it. There is probably only enough for your face in the sample. This will go in a goody bag to giveaway. Expensive for a self tanner but this is definitely one of the "deluxe" samples

Proactiv - Deep Cleansing Wash (sample size of 60ml, RRP$39.95/ 475ml)
Use this product to clear up skin when it's acting up for a deep cleanse. Works great to penetrate pores and get rid of breakouts.
I have never had a problem with acne. I do get the occasional one or two pimples. I actually gave this to my partner to use as he had pimples on his back sometimes and gets the occasional break out. I may even try it when a pimple does show through. I know a lot of people have complained about getting the proactiv in their box as they don't need it either but it can be used on the body and not just the face.

Star & Rose - Floral Wonderland Emergency Nail Files (full sized as they are mini nail files, around $2-$3)
Pocket these cushioned nail files for all those nail emergencies and on the go fix ups.
These are cute as! I have put them in my hand bag incase i need them. These are a fantastic idea. I am always breaking a nail and sometimes i need to do the unthinkable and rip the side off as i am usually at work when it happens. Now i can use these.

Polished London - Nail Enamel in Waitress (red creme) (fullsized $7.99/10ml)
For a mani-pedi that dries fast and lasts long. Polished London is out pick in pretty shades of pink and red for the month of love.
I have never heard of Polished London before now. yay a proper red creme. I didn't have one before and i'm glad i got this one. Can't wait to try this. I have noticed these selling in at Terry White Chemists lately. I had a quick browse though the colours and they all seemed nice but there was 95% cremes and a lot of colours i already have. I might possibly buy a few more to try one day.

So overall, after saying i'd do a review, I haven't tried any of the products this month. Nail polish went straight into my untrieds for later. Nail files in my handbag. And the others well... went into my drawer of other beauty related items that may just sit there until i go though the draw in a few years hahaha.

If you get Glossy box, were you happy with the items you received?

See you next time! xo

January Glossy box!

Although i have just received my Feb glossy box. I haven't put up the one i got for Jan yet.

This is what i got:

* Nivea Rich Nourishing Body Moisturiser
* Sheer Cover Nourishing Moisturiser with SPF 15
*Kosmea Daily Facial Exfoliant
*Sheer Cover Lip Balm
*Mirenesse Tight Liner Hydra Gel Eyeliner

Sheer Cover - Nourishing Moisturiser with SPF15. (sample size of 30ml, RRP 60ml $29-95)

I have never used Sheer Cover before, this or any of their products. So i tried this and i really don't like it at all. It says it's fast absorbing but it took longer than stated and i hated the "sticky" feeling it left. It also had a strong smell of sunscreen which is not what i want when i use a moisturiser (with or without sunscreen added). I won't be buying this plus i really like the Jurlique one i already use.

Nivea - Rich Nourishing Body Moisturiser (Dry Skin) (sample size 30ml, RRP $5-40 250ml)

We all know Nivea. Not a high end brand but a brand we can buy from the supermarket. On the cheaper side but really i don't care. I like Nivea and use Nivea regularly. I wanted to try this and i'm glad it came in the box. Perfect size for my handbag. Good for elbows and any place that gets dry that we forget to moisturise. Love it. I would buy this when i run out of my usual Nivea body moisturiser (the one in the white bottle)

Kosmea - Daily Facial Exfoliant (sample size 20g) (RRP 125g $39-95)

This is my favourite product from the box. (First sample i have used up fully) I have never heard of this brand before. I love this. It has crushed up rose hips (which we all know rose hip oil is good for the skin) and chamomile flower. It's very gentle on the skin and smells amazing. It's gentle enough to use everyday like stated. I usually use the Jurlique exfoliator and only use it once a week and find it more harsh (sand like) on my skin, where as the Kosmea one is not. I will be switching from Jurlique to Kosmea most likely once i have used up all my jurlique. I also got a few samples from Kosmea to try to see if i like the rest of their products. Very happy with this.

Sheer Cover - Lip Gloss in Pink Praline. (full sized, 2.5g. RRP $19-95)

Haven't tried this at all. Not a big fan of these type of "pot" lip glosses. As previously stated i have a ton of lip glosses opened and like those anyway. I have also heard it's "sticky" which i also don't like so i will be giving this away to someone else. Also seems a bit expensive for a lip gloss.

Mirenesse - Tight Liner Hydra Gel Eyeliner. (full sized, 2g. RRP $29-95)

Also, haven't tried this. Not a fan of Blue eyeliner. I always use black if i wear makeup at that. Also, it is used for "Tight Lining" which i don't do. I didn't even know what it was until now. (I don't know much about make-up, i do the basics) So, again it will go to someone else who could put it to good use.

Overall, There is two things i won't use, one i tried and didn't like and two i love and would use again. Don't love the box, Don't hate the box. Hope you enjoyed.
See you next time!

December Glossybox!

Hi everyone, I've decided to perhaps do more than just nail polish on my blog. It will still be mainly nail polish but a few different things here and there.

I just recently signed up to GlossyBox. If you haven't heard of Glossy Box, check them out here but basically GlossyBox is Australian and has the same concept as Birchbox (if your international), Lust have it and the likes. Basically you pay $14-95/ month and you get 5 samples (some full sized) of high end products. For example, you can get nail polish and nail care items, skincare, fragrances, haircare, makeup and more. They have only been running for a few months and December was my first box. I know it's late but i still wanted to put this one up before i do January's box.

It arrives in a cardboard box with the GlossyBox logo and website all over it.

Then you open it up and there is another box! (These come in handy as storage boxes haha)

Usually then when you open the lid it comes neatly packed with black tissue paper and some ribbon. You also get a little card tucked in ontop explaining what you got in the box and basically what it's for and how to use it. I try not to read it as i want to see the items first haha. (i'll write under each product what it says on the card)

This is what i got in my GlossyBox. 2 full sized items and 3 sample sized items.

Tigi Harecare - Bed Head Manipulator. (full sized, 57ml, $23-95)
"Great for any length of hair. This best-texturiser adds volume and hold to make hair come alive"
I haven't used this yet. I really want to try it but haven't had a chance yet. It has a nice smell of coconut which i really love.

Clinique - Turnaround Overnight Radiance Moisturiser. (sample size of 7ml. $90 for 50ml)
"Replace dull skin and surface cells with a healthy radiant glow from this moisturising and revitalising night serum"
I'm really excited to use this. I'm not usually the type of person that buys expensive skin care items like this. I don't own anything Clinique. So this is a good way for me to try it to see if i like it. I may purchase it.

John Frieda - Frizz-ease Secret Weapon Flawless Finishing Creme. (sample size of 30ml, $16-99 for 113g)
"Restore silky softness to your hair with this finishing creme that helps hair imperfections and controls fly-aways for flawless locks"
I use John Frieda Shampoo and Conditioner for Brunettes, so i was excited to try this as i usually have untameable fly-aways all the freakin' time except for when i straighten it haha. I have only used this once so far when i didn't have time to straighten my hair before going out for dinner for my birthday last weekend. Not sure if i like it so far. All the products i use like this always leave my hair feeling a little "crunchy". I don't know if its supposed it and your supposed to leave it alone but i always play with my hair, so it bothers me! haha I will definitely give it another go though!

Carmex - Moisture Plus Lip Balm (Full sized. $8-99 for 2g stick)
"For lips that look and feel moisturised all day long with enhancement from Vitamin E and Aloe, This lip balm with SPF15 protects your precious puckers perfectly"
Looooove this! I love trying a new lip balm. I have about a bagillion different Lips balms and i'm always changing them. I hadn't tried this brand before but now that i have, i would consider purchasing it. It does keep my lips smooth. I would recommend this lip balm.

Auscreen - Sunscreen Lotion (sample size of 15ml. 125ml $7-49)
"Protect your skin from the sun with this non-white, non-greasy sun screen offering 30 times your natural protection and water-resistance"
This little bottle is so cute! It is the perfect size to keep in my car. I know that sounds weird but i commute to and from work, 5 days a week on average, for the last 7 years. Doing this, i do worry about skin cancer, after my grandad has had some skin cancers cut out in previous years. I don't want to get burnt on my "driving arm" and face. Not that i drive with my elbow up on the side of the door like a tool, but the sun hits my right arm every morning on the way to work and afternoon/night (now it's summer) on the way home. So this comes in very handy just to slap a bit on my arms and face for the drive.

So with the December GlossyBox. I would use all the products which is good. I definitely think it is worth the $14-95 a month at the moment.
If you are thinking about joining up, leave me your email address and i can refer you. That would only help me out. If you don't want to that, that is fine too. You can just do it through there website.

Disclaimer: I purchase this each month with my own money. These are my own personal views and opinions.
