Coastal Scents - Cosmic

Hi everyone! Just a quick one tonight. I bought this polish from a blog sale a good while ago and finally decided to give it a go!

This is Coastal Scents Cosmic.

Cosmic has awesome green to gold coloured flakies jam packed in a black base. I was surprised it turned out so well being all mixed up together rather than a clear flakie polish that you can put over black but it turned out awesome and not much is hidden. 

This was three coats. The lid/brush was awful to use though. It was almost too big to handle.

Sorry & a Franken!

Sorry i haven't blogged in a few weeks. I have just been busy and i just haven't felt like blogging. I haven't painted my nails much lately either but even when i did i didn't even photograph them! Not sure what was going on with myself but i just didn't have any motivation! Winter is a big draw back for me full stop in no matter what i do i just have no motivation in winter! But now it's heading to warmer weather and longer days i am hoping i can get out of that and get more motivated to do.... well just anything really!

Anyway, Today i am wearing a franken i made probably about a month ago! I know, that's how slack i have been, waiting until now!

This is called "lollyshop" I get the weirdest names in my head! So this stuck! haha. This is a deep Raspberry with silver holo glitter!
I'm not sure on exact quantities on this but i had about 3/4 of a bottle of Ulta3 Pink Colada, poured a little bit of Ulta3 Party Shoes in to tone it down a bit and then added clear almost to the top. Then i got a bit carried away with sparkles and added way too much Silver Holo Glitter (from Coastal Scents). I put so much in that this was a one coater and a top coat eater uperer! Despite the bumpiness, I don't actually mind how it came out so i'm not going to say that this was a fail. I think next time less Holo Glitter and probably more Clear? Does anyone think that would work? Last photo blurred to show a bit of Holo. No sun AT ALL today so was hard to get!

Also, on a side note. I'm heading to Canberra for a few days over the weekend (along with going to bathurst to see the V8's on Sunday!) so i will have one or two days of shopping in Canberra while i'm there. Does anyone know of anywhere good to shop? I will be on the hunt for nail polish obviously and want to bring some goodies back!

NOTD + Some Frankening!

This is todays nails! Colour Club's scented polish in Raspberry Rush. Seems familiar? i realised after putting it on, i'd already done this colour not long ago! Who cares? right? I then stamped it with Color Clubs Revvvolution and with the bow from the Konad Plate, M59. 

Lately i have been playing around and frankening up some polishes! This is what i came up with for one of them. It was Ulta3's Silver Grey and i added the Silver Hologram Glitter i got from Coastal Scents a few weeks back!

It turned out ok. It looks a bumpy mess but there is so much holo going on, you barely notice it IRL! I was going to do one thin coat over the CC Raspberry Rush i already had on but that didn't work out the way i was hoping. I don't know why i even thought it would work! Derh!!!! So i slapped a second coat on after that. Sorry, no clean up was involved because as soon as i took the photos, i went back inside and took it all off! Franken Fail? or is it really ok? I might call this franken "Space Cadet" unless someone else has a better name for it?

ohhhh holo goodness!

Coastal Scents Haul!

Yay! Finally got my package from Coastal Scents yesterday! Can't wait to have a play around with these!

Silver Hologram, Black Magic Hologram, Fairy Dust (holo), Ocean Blue.

1 ounce of each so should last a while!

Silver Hologram, Black Magic Hologram, Fairy Dust (holo), Ocean Blue.

Cappuccino, Sahara Sand, Purple Punch.

All just a sample size, 1 Teaspoon.

The Particles size for all Pigments (except Silver Holo, that is 0.006) were 0.004 so these are safe for face, eyes, lips and of course in Nail Polish! 

It seems they threw in a sample of Mica Pigment Sample in Bordeaux. Looks amazing! 

I also got these! 10 little measuring spoons! They were only $1-40 for the lot so i couldn't pass it up as i'm hopeless when it comes to being careful and not spilling any! haha. Not that i need 10!

I can't wait to have a play around with these on the weekend and i'll let you know what i come up with! :)
