Aussie Nails Monday! - Lace

Hi all!
I haven't done an Aussie Nails Monday for a couple of weeks, but i am back this week with a "lace" design.
When i think of lace, i think of delicate light pastel mani. Well i did the opposite lol.

I used Ulta3 Cherrylicious as my base colour, which is an awesome blood red. It's darker than shown in these photos.  I just couldn't get it to photo right.

I am not much of a red wearer if you've ever noticed from my blog posts, but i absolutely love this kind of red and it will be staying in my stash. It's weird because red goes so well with my skin tone.

I then grabbed out my stamping stuff and tried to find a lace design on any of the almost 100 plates i have haha. This one stood out the most. This is Bundlemonster plate BM-316 from their latest series, stamped with Konad special White polish. I didn't want to overpower it and do all nails, so i just did the accents on both hands. =)

What do you think??

Sally Hansen Red Carpet

Hi all!

I don't usually wear a lot of reds but i got this polish in a grab bag from an awesome fellow Aussie blogger Tara over at Osirisandlokipainttheirnails
I looked at it and thought it had an awesome sparkle in it. I had a plan to use this in another way (that way coming soon) but I had the urge to wear it straight away!
Now that i've worn it, i'm keeping it and now searching for a back-up bottle lol.

What do you think? Are you a lover of red polishes?

25 Days of Christmas! Day 1

I am going to try and do a post every day until (and including) Christmas Day! I will have probably some random posts and as well as the obvious nails and nail art. If anyone has any suggestions as to what i should do (on anything christmas related to post) feel free to let me know!
We are going to kick this off with a simple Candy Cane pattern nail art.

I started with my normal base coat (OPI nail envy original). The base colour is China Glaze Ruby Pumps. I then striped 2 thin, 1 thick, 2 thin stripes with my white art deco striper. I then used a small brush and China Glaze Emerald Sparkle to stripe over the middle of the thick white line. I am in no way great at nail art or have much of a steady hand so please mind my wonky "lines" haha

Hope you have a great day.
See you tomorrow!

China Glaze Ruby Pumps!

I have a classic to show you today! Ruby Pumps! I know you've seen it all before but you will see it again... here... Today!

Ruby Pumps is from way back in 2001 when it came out in the original Wizard of oz collection and then China Glaze decided to re-release it again in 2009 to coincide with the 70th anniversary of the movie. This was 3 Coats of beautiful red sparkliness! Went on like a dream! I'm not a big red fan and you probably won't see me wear red much at all but has got to be one of the best colours i think China Glaze has done.

I then did some stamping with the full image design of the shoes from the bundle monster plate BM-213. I never actually thought i would use the shoe design! I am not a "shoe person" but i thought it was fitting to use it here! sorry about some of the stamping fail on the index and middle fingers. Worked as i planned it to on my pinky finger though! I also used the big bow from Konad plate M59 for the ring finger. All was done in Konad black special polish.

Enjoy the rest of your day and stayed tuned tomorrow for my 25 days of Xmas!

Weekend Mani!

Hi all,
Just a quick one today. My partner picked out these colours for me to wear over the weekend. I think he did a good job. I got these two colours i'm wearing, in my recent BIG Haul, which i am yet to post up as i was waiting for replacement colour that broke, to arrive. Now that it is here, i will have a haul post next week!

Ben (the partner) picked OPI The One That Got Away from the Katy Perry collection. It is a deep berry wine colour with glass flecks which doesn't photograph very well! It applied well with 2 smooth coats. I didn't think i liked this or was going to get it but i loved it when i saw it in the "flesh" at DJ's (before buying online haha).

He then picked Teenage Dream, from the same collection to lay over the top. This was one coat of a VERY Sheer pink with lots of small silver glitter and sparse big holo glitter.

Crappy inside pic.

Blurred to show holo goodness!

Enjoy what's left of your weekend!
Bye for now xo
