B collection by Bloom - Boston; & Ninja Polish Love, Lace 'n Lawsuits

Hi all!

As it basically into winter now, i have been trying to pull out some darker wintery shades..... It's not happening that much as i'm not the kind of person who wears dark vampy colours. I'm a neon type of girl through and through.

I cannot however, pass up a good chocolate brown!

I got this brown polish in a blog sale about 6 months and used it not long after, but it has been sitting in my "ready to blog" folder for, well basically since then haha.

This is Boston by an Aussie brand called Bloom.

Boston is an awesome deep medium Chocolate brown cream. I remember it was actually awesome to apply. This was 2, maybe 3 coats, i can't quite remember.

I then applied Ninja Polish/Coverband Love, Lace 'n Lawsuits over the top. I absolutely love this combo and it is something different you don't see all the time. =) Excuse my crappy cuticles. If you hadn't already guessed it. It is a dupe (or near dupe) of Lynnderella's Love, Lace & Lilacs lol

Have a great night!

AN Monday - Cartoon! Spongebob nails

Hi everyone!

This weeks theme for AN Monday is Cartoons. I've always wanted to spongebob nails but never gotten around to it. I suck majorly at freehand but found an awesome spongebob stamping plate over at Born Pretty Store for about $3 (enter my coupon code MLL91 at checkout to get an extra 10% off)

I used Zoya Pippa as my base colour, which is a yellow cream. It's a bit darker in real life than my pics suggest and not so bright. This was three coats. It was also one of the easiest yellows i have worked with.

I then grabbed my BPS Spongebob stamping plate (QA2) and my Ulta3 Black Satin polish and stamped some random SB faces on my nails. I don't quite get what the ring finger one is supposed to turn out like. haha

I purposely didn't clean up his eyelashes on my pinky finger =)

What do you think?

Have a great night!

piCture pOlish Candy + Lynnderella Pentimento

One of my "nail polish goals" for this year was to own a Lynnderella. Even JUST ONE! I've always admired Lynnderella's and never thought i'd actually own any. If your anyone in the nail community, you'd know who Lynnderella was and the widespread talk of her and her brand. Whether you like her or not, she has talent, and well known for coming up with the most amazing polishes! Whether you agree with that or not, that's up to you! =)

Well i got lucky a few months ago when i saw a friend selling two of Lynn's. I snatched them up pretty quick. Not one, but TWO!! I got A Neutral Party and Pentimento. Oh my, that made me lemm for Lynnderella's even more!! haha Since then, i now own 10 Lynn's! =)

Today i am wearing Pentimento over Picture Polish Candy

Picture Polish Candy is a bright barbie pink. The formula was a little tricky but it paid off in the end. It's an absolutely stunning pink! This was three coats.

I then added one very sparse coat of Lynnderella's Pentimento.

I wore this all weekend before taking it off, which is a first for me lol

Do you have any Lynnderella's? Do you like them/hate them?

Aussie Nails Monday! - Lace

Hi all!
I haven't done an Aussie Nails Monday for a couple of weeks, but i am back this week with a "lace" design.
When i think of lace, i think of delicate light pastel mani. Well i did the opposite lol.

I used Ulta3 Cherrylicious as my base colour, which is an awesome blood red. It's darker than shown in these photos.  I just couldn't get it to photo right.

I am not much of a red wearer if you've ever noticed from my blog posts, but i absolutely love this kind of red and it will be staying in my stash. It's weird because red goes so well with my skin tone.

I then grabbed out my stamping stuff and tried to find a lace design on any of the almost 100 plates i have haha. This one stood out the most. This is Bundlemonster plate BM-316 from their latest series, stamped with Konad special White polish. I didn't want to overpower it and do all nails, so i just did the accents on both hands. =)

What do you think??

Pink Tiger & Duri Miracote review for Lust Have It feat. Nailgasm Prickly Pear!

Hi everyone!

I received a couple samples from Lust Have It & Pink Tiger to review.

If you are already a LHI subscriber you would know who Pink Tiger were and probably got a sample of their lint free gauze wipes. Pink Tiger not only sell their gauze wipes, they also sell the brand Duri, which we all know has the ever popular Rejuvacote.
Duri also have nail colours, quick dry drops and a fast dry top coat called Miracote, which i will be reviewing today, along with Pink Tiger's lint free gauze wipes.

I started off with my usual Duri Rejuvacote base coat. I really wanted to put the gauze to the test so i picked a colour to wear that had glitter in it. We all know how much glitter is a pain to remove. I used Nailgasm Prickly Pear.

Prickly Pear has an awesome pale lime "cactus" green base with black and holo green hex and tiny silver matte hex glitters. It's jelly like and needed three coats to get the opacity shown. Definitely reminds me of a cactus but also Kiwi fruit comes to mind lol. I love it anyway!! One coat of Duri Miracote fast drying top coat.

Miracote is fast drying and left a nice shine on my nails. I did not get any shrinkage and best of all Miracote is 3-free!!! I will be changing over to this when my SV runs out! That's how happy i am with it.

I wore this for a couple of days and after a few chips and a broken nail ( you can see in the pics below :-( ) i decided to remove it using the lint free gauze from Pink Tiger.

The gauze (above) is a 5x5 cm piece. I just used my normal polish remove which has acetone in it.
I placed it on the nail for 5 seconds and gave it a little scrub.

Scrub scrub scrub - 10-15 seconds on scrubbing =

A little bit more scrubbing......

Ta dar! All gone! Poor broken middle finger nail =(

It took about 5 mins to remove it all on one hand. The glitters didn't all stay in the gauze though, i found i had it all over my hands in the end, but a simple washing of my hands got rid of that.
It held up pretty good and one piece is enough for each hand. I'm not sure how it would go with a huge glitter bomb but it worked for this type of polish. I did find i went through slightly more polish remover than using the foil method though.
I have used these again since this mani and i find i have been reaching for them more than going to get the foil out.

Both the gauze and Duri miracote (along with Duri nail polishes, which i have a separate review for) products can be purchased from Pink Tiger's online shop. Their lint free gauze comes in a packet of 200 for $13, so that is enough to do 100 mani's, which is not bad!
Duri Miracote is $25 a bottle which is a little pricey but it is awesome.

Pink Tiger also have a promotion at the moment, if you spend $50 or more you get a free Duri nail polish of your choice. You need to email them your proof of purchase for redemption to

Also if you'd like to sign up to Lust Have It where you can get awesome samples like this in their month subscription box, you can sign up on their website HERE and if you punch in the code "KOLORS" you get $5 off your first months box! =)

Cate Ruby - Emerald City

Hi everyone!

I have the second polish i received from Cate Ruby tonight to show you!
This one is called Emerald City.

Emerald City is a forest moss green. The finish is cross between a frost and a metallic. It is really quite a nice colour but no matter what i did, there were streak marks. Despite that, the formula was awesome!! This was two coats, no topcoat.

Cate Ruby polishes are availble from these stockists RRP $14.95
You can also keep up to date with latest new releases on their Facebook page.

Cate ruby polish provided for honest review.

Smitten Polish - Robin's Egg!

I actually wore this polish during last's month blue for Autism but in my slackness i have only just gotten around to blogging it now.

I'm so glad i bought the whole set of the speckly polishes. I had my heart set on the ones from Illamasqua but with the RM fiasco, they don't ship here now. When i saw these, i just HAD to have them!

This is Robin's Egg.

Robin's Egg is an awesome blue creme with small and medium sized black hex glitters. Awesome formula and this was opaque in three coats.

Happy Hands - Banana Stand!

Hi all!
A quick one tonight before i head to my nice warm bed! Mmm toasty!

Tonights mani is Banana Stand by Happy Hands!

I've had this polish for a while now but only just gotten around to wearing it. I am in a big yellow phase at the moment so this was one that HAD to be worn. It did not disappoint.

Banana Stand is part of Happy Hands  "I've made a huge mistake" collection... and if you haven't picked up on it yet, it is inspired by the TV show "Arrested Development" <3

Banana Stand is an awesome yellow crelly with medium brown hex glitter, and small green hex to represent money. This was three coats. It was a little on the thick side but was totally manageable.

The "green money" comes from the quote "There's always money, in the Banana Stand" after Michael visits his father in prison to tell him they had burnt down the family's Banana stand.

Illamasqua - Prosperity

Hi all!
Sorry for the lack of  non-existant posts this last week. I have just not been feeling it... Plus it's too damn cold (already!) to sit in front of the computer, so i have been heading to bed in my nice warm electric blanket lol.

Anyway, now that Autism month is over i can finally pull out ANY colour i want and wear it!
The first colour last week i chose to wear was Illamasqua Prosperity.

I had only just gotten this (along with 4 of the other rubber finish Illa's) in the mail from the awesome Kierra over at Look What The Bats Dragged In! She was kind enough to grab these for me from Myer when they were marking them down to clear.

(above photos taken in sunlight)

Prosperity is a bright purple with a rubber finish. No top coat was needed for this, which is what i liked as it dried so quick! It's great if your in a hurry. This was two coats. It looks a little patchy and bald in some spots but irl it didn't look it at all!
