Picture Polish Collab-fest 2013!

Hi everyone!

As 2013 is coming to an end, Picture Polish and all the collaboration shade owners have gotten together to organise a little "Colab-Fest"

I can't believe it has been 8 months already, since Ocean was released! I absolutely have enjoyed seeing it on many other digits, both on blogs and IG etc. I always get compliments on this shade, and it makes me happy to know others love Ocean as much as i do! =)
Even since my shade has been released, there has been more awesome blogger collab. shades! I love everyones creativity and i always look forward to seeing whats next!

I've decided to re-swatch my shade, Ocean.

2 thick coats of Ocean. Blue jelly with scattered holo particles, Picture Polish is known for.
Even to this day, i absolutely adore Ocean. I have just about finished a whole bottle.

Ocean, and many other collab shades can be purchased directly from Picture Polish. The ship worldwide! You can also buy from these Network Members which might be easier if you aren't from Australia.

I want to thank all of you who have bought a bottle, shared your Ocean mani or even just given me some awesome feedback. Also a special thanks to Picture Polish themselves, because without them Ocean would not exist. Keep sharing your Ocean mani's!!!

Love Thy Polish - A Beautiful Mistake

Hi all!

I have a beauty from Love Thy Polish to show you today!
I was kindly given this to review from Sophie, who owns Femme Fatale Cosmetics. She is our awesome Australian distributor for Aussie & international indie brands that may be hard to get here.

It's no secret that Love Thy Polish is one of my favourite brands. I have shown them here, on more than one occasion before, including LTP week.

I was so happy when i saw that i got "A Beautiful Mistake" in my review kit from FFC. Not only did i already have a bottle (untried, bad me!) i now have a back up bottle :D, and trust me, you will want a second one too!

A Beautiful Mistake is a dark blue linear holo. Simple as that, super stunning! This was two coats shown in all photos, with one coat of Out the door QD top coat. Formula was amazing and easy to work with.

Im actually still wearing this today, after wearing it all weekend. I had no chips up until last night when i was at work, but its the only reason i am taking it off now lol Such a beautiful colour and one i will wear again and again!

A Beautiful Mistake can be found here at Femme Fatale Cosmetics  along with a lot of Emma's other LTP polishes. They sell out quick, so you have to be quick. FFC also now ships internationally, so you can pick up this beauty just as easy if your living outside of Australia. This is also available through Emma's shop itself at Love Thy Polish.

Product sent to me by Femme Fatale cosmetics, for honest review.

Hope you all have a great week!!

Love Thy Polish - The holo's!

Hi all!

It's the end of Love Thy Polish week and even though i didn't post yesterday i have three awesome holo's to show you today to make up for it lol

These are due to be released on Thursday 15th Aug. So get your wallets ready as these are beautiful!!
All these holo's are absolutely stunning and are very holo-y (yes, that's a word :P )

First up,

Green Eyed Monster. A beautiful forest green holo. A little less blue than the pictures suggest.
This was 2 coats, but could easily go on in one!

Smurf's got the Blues. A beautiful dark denim blue holo. Perfect in two easy coats.

Marine Dream. This is almost smack bang in the middle of the two above. It's a teal green holo. A little more green than blue than the pictures suggest. Two easy coats.

If you're living in Australia, Love Thy Polish can be purchased directly from her website "Love Thy Polish" Most of her polishes are AU$9.50, Mini's are AU$6.50 but they are a big 8ml mini's. Holo's are AU$12.

If your living outside of Australia, Sorry this is not available but please check out MeiMei's Signatures as she has selected shades available, with worldwide shipping.

If neither option above suits, please beg and beg your closest vendor to stock Love Thy Polish ;)

Cate Ruby Silver mesh - review

Hi everyone!

Today is the last day of blue mani's for Autism Awareness! I joined my last Autism blue mani in with a review polishes from Cate Ruby.
I got two awesome polishes from Cate Ruby to show you guys, but today i will be just showing you one - Silver Mesh.

How cute are is the bling around the neck?? It's an actual piece of jewellery but my stumpy fingers are too fat! It is stretchy but then it doesn't look nice. I think it can stay on the bottle lol

Silver Mesh is absolutely stunning! It's a polish that is meant to be layered over another colour. The glitter is was too sparse to be able to build up to anything that resembles opaque. The formula is awesome. Not too thin and not thick at all. This was one very thin coat, followed by two thin "dabbled" coats to give it a nice look.

I layered Silver Mesh over Essence Hard to Resist.

How gorgeous are both of these together?!?!

Keep an eye out for my second review polish from Cate Ruby soon!

You can keep up to date with her on Facebook

piCture pOlish - Cosmos!

Hi everyone!!
First of all, I just want to say i have had an overwhelming response to my collaboration shade "Ocean" with piCture pOlish! I have had nothing but great feedback and comments! It has all been positive and can't believe it has done so well so far! So THANK YOU! Thank you to those who have purchased it, who have commented on it, shared my photos, swatched it and just generally shared my excitement!

Because i have had such great response, and my 2 year blogiversary was on launch day, i will be having a giveaway of one bottle of Ocean (amongst other awesome things) in the coming days/week to say "Thank You!" So please keep an eye out for that. I will also announce it on Instagram too if you follow me there as well!

Onto tonights post!
In following the awesomeness of Ocean and to keep in with the Austim Awareness month i have been doing all month now, i decided to wear another pretty piCture pOlish shade...

Cosmos by Pshiiit Boutique!

Cosmos is an awesome dark blue jelly with a scattered holo. The same holo particles used in Ocean and the likes and the 600 series. This is a very awesome colour and is probably my favourite PP shade to date (after ocean of course =P ) This was two coats. It was easy to apply and i didn't actually even put on a top coat. It dried smooth and fairly shiny. The thing i love about these shades too lately is that they are so easy to remove and no foil method is required =)

Autism Awareness mani # lost count! Essence Grumpy!

Hi everyone!!
Just a quick one tonight.

I did this mani a couple of weeks ago when Autism month first started and have only now gotten around to blogging it now.

Essence Grumpy is a gorgeous dark blue. Application was awesome and applied in two easy coats. It was released in the Essence Snow White collection that Australia got at the beginning of December last year so it's pretty hard to find now. It is also know as a cheaper version of Nails Inc Baker Street.

AA Paint it Blue - Sinful Colors Love nails & Essence Blue Addicted!

Hi everyone!!

Just a quick one tonight. I did this mani last week when i had hardly any time to change my nails.

Sinful Colours Love Nails...

Love nails is an awesome medium light blue with a touch of turquoise shimmer. It's quite sheer to start with but builds up to be opaque in three coats.

I wore this for a day but didn't have time to change a full mani so i added Essence Blue Addicted to my middle and ring fingers...

I hated the little bottles of Essence and they were 5ml each so i poured three of them into a 15ml empty bottle =)

Blue Addicted is the dupe of Deborah Lippmann's Across the Universe, only a lot cheaper. It is made up of an awesome blue jelly base with blue and green hex glitter as well as tiny blue glitter. I don't have AtU to compare Blue Addicted to, but BA has an awesome formula and well worth the $2 something it was to buy it. I think it's long gone now though as Essence have discontinued those tiny bottles.

AA Paint it Blue - China Glaze Little Drummer Boy!

Hi everyone!

I have had this polish since it came out just before xmas back in 2010 and hadn't used it until now *hides in shame* I can't believe i left it so long!
I'm not usually into dark (or vampy type colours) but this one is amazing and a must have if you can get your paws on it!

Once again excuse my nubs *sigh*

Little Drummer boy is a dark navy blue with a subtle blue shimmer, which is very hard to capture. Perfect application and it is very pigmented, which also means it's a one coater. I used two coats as usual though.

Aussie Nails Monday - Blue!

Hi all!
Today's theme for Aussie nails Monday is blue! I came up with doing a simple framed nails dotticure.

I used my usual Ulta3 Lily White for the base colour for my ring fingers and thumbs. I used Ulta3 Calypso Holiday for the dots over the white and the base colour for all other nails. For the dots over CH i used Ulta3 Pacific Splash. I really wanted to matte-ify it but my matte top coat is all gross and gluggy and i'm waiting for ChG Matte magic to come in the post!

Let me know what you think!
