25 Days of Christmas. Day 18. Holly!

Hi all. Today was such a busy day! We had a lot of rain overnight and out the back of our house flooded a bit. Not too much but a good couple inches. It never reached inside the house luckily, but if it wasn't for our enclosed back porch area, it may have. (the front of the house was fine as it is raised up more as our land slopes) The water had drained away by the morning so we were cleaning up the mess it left outside most of the day, which i can tell you i despise doing yard work. Anyway, after all that i got time to sit down and do this! I realised i hadn't done holly's yet.

Colours i used:
Base colour: Ulta3 Precious
Cherry: China Glaze Scarlet
Leaves: Sinful Colors San Francisco
Leave stems A mix of China Glaze snow and San Francisco.
Topped of with Seche Vite.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

25 Days of Christmas. Day 15. Sponge/Gradient nails.

Quick one tonight. Again... on a Thursday. I don't get home til late on Thursdays! Boo! I should really do a post before i leave or at least schedule one so i am not sitting here tired trying to make up stuff to write! haha. Onto the nails..

Not sure if i like this. It doesn't seem very Christmas-y. As a normal mani it might be ok but i'm trying to do christmas here! so i added this...

It came out ok. I like what i came up with. Hope you guys do too!
Colours i used:

25 days of Christmas. Day 14. Stamped Gingy's!

I'm still having trouble with my Bundle Monster plates. This was so frustrating to do! I finally got something on my nails but it took a LOT of effort to do this. I am talking with Bundle Monster at the moment trying to work out if my plates are a dud or what. Everyone else's mani's seem to be fine.

I did have another pic of this but i accidentally deleted one off my camera =( Not happy! So sorry this is the only photo i have and i've taken this off already. Gingerbread man detailing is not good. This is the best i got with the plates. I couldn't even get any of the outer detail off the image either. So bummed!

Colours:
Base Colour: China Glaze Unplugged
Stamped Gingys: Color Club Antiquated with plate BM 222

See you tomorrow! xo

Bauble strings: LA Colors Art Deco striper in White
Baubles: Purple: China Glaze C-C-Courage
Silver: China Glaze Millennium
Green: China Glaze Emerald Sparkle
Gold: Ulta3 Precious

Tell me what you think! =)
Bye for now xo

25 Days of Christmas! Day 12. Festive fingers!

Hi all.
Tonight i have probably one of my favourite christmas mani's ever. I actually came up with this last year (possibly even the year before) but i never had my blog back then and i wanted to show you all some more stamping. What you see now is today's photo, not last years photo.

I used:
Thumb: China Glaze Ruby Pumps tips. Stamped Candy Cane from Konad plate M12. Snowflake stamped from Konad plate M59. Both stamped in Konad special White polish.
Index: Ulta3 Precious tips. Bells stamped from Konad plate M12 in special Red polish.
Middle: China Glaze Emerald Sparkle tips. Candy Cane from Konad plate M12 in Konad special White polish.
Ring: Ulta3 Lily White with 2 coats of Orly Winter Wonderland on tips. "Merry Christmas" stamped with Konad plate M12 and Red special polish.
Pinky: China Glaze Ruby Pumps tips. Candy Cane from Konad plate M12 with Konad special White polish.
All topped with Seche Vite Quick Dry.

I actually liked my right hand better than my left which is weird. I just think it looks nicer, neater and placement of the stamping is better. I think i always rush with my left hand and take more time with my right hand, so that's why this time it looks better.... I don't know haha.
Tell me what you think??
Hope you enjoy these as much as i do!
Bye for now! xo

25 Days of Christmas! Day 11. Simple snowflakes!

I am almost getting to the point now where i start doubling up on Christmas manicures as i've run out on things to do. I will have some variations to ones I've already done plus a few new ones i haven't done yet. I'm going to do a bit more stamping this week i think. In saying that though, today's mani is a simple  freehand design to differentiate to this one.

Colours i used:
Base colour: Orly Snowcone
Snowflakes: LA colors White striper
Dots on snowflakes and snow dots: Ulta3 Lily White + dotting tool.
I think this looks ok by itself but if you want a bit of sparkle, you could add a fine holo glitter top coat.

I used China Glaze's Golden Enchantment. Then a coat of Seche Vite.

Hope you enjoy!

25 Days of Christmas! Day 10. My wish list.

I must be feeling sick! This is my Christmas wish list and it doesn't contain a whole lot of "nail crap" (as my partner would call it).

Mirrored Jewellery cabinet. This is so cool. I've wanted a mirror to sit on top of my tallboy for a long time and this is even better because i have so much crap everywhere just lying on top and no where to put most of it. So i can house all my jewellery in this. $59 from Brands Exclusive or Catch of the Day.

---------------------------------

Perfume! Perhaps not both but these are on my perfume wish list along with Marc Jacobs Daisy and a few others. My birthday is also coming up in January so hint hint to my partner if he's looking haha. Perfumes vary in price a lot so it always pays to shop around. Ralph Lauren (i already know i have haha) was $28 from national pharmacies (members price for 30ml) which is the cheapest i have ever seen it. I wanted a bigger size but they were more than double the price for 50ml and even dearer again for 100ml so this worked out the cheapest. Midnight fantasy i have found to vary the most. $40 - $80 for 100ml.

---------------------------------

A little weird for a female i guess. Some of you may not even realise or know what it is. It's a leather MOMO manual gear knob for my car. My car has just recently been converted to a manual (or stick shift as some of you may be from America and surrounds) from an auto transmission. So i would love one of these to go with it and look better than the crappy greyish one i have at the moment. About $120 from eBay.

---------------------------------

Striper polishes! I really am after some striper polishes. That's pretty self explanatory. This is the only nail stuff i actually want for Christmas. I just did a few orders for nail polish a few months ago and there really isn't anything i really desperately want at the moment. So these will probably wait until my birthday or something. Can get these from ebay, Cherry couture & Beauty Joint to name a few for around $2 a pop plus shipping which is pretty cheap (to aus)

---------------------------------

Books. In particular Sophie Kinsella. Ive actually already ordered and received these from Amazon for a very cheap price. They were around 4 pounds ($7-8 Aussie dollars) for each book. I got about 5! I'm not a big book worm and i have a mind like a teenager still (i'm 25 haha). I really want to start reading more and i think these would start me off again. I have heard these are pretty good.

So i think that's about it. Not a real lot but i don't really need a lot. My partner and i live together so we just buy what we want, basically when we want it or can get it. And we are trying to save money as i have to get my wisdom teeth out in a few months and that is going to cost a lot.

Hope you enjoyed seeing my wish list. If you have your own wish list and would like to share it, please feel free to leave a comment or link it from your blog in the comments box. I'd love to check out what everyone else wants for Christmas!!
See you tomorrow!

25 Days of Christmas! Day 9. Candy Canes

Back on Day 1 I did the Candy Cane stripes. Today, i have Candy Canes. Little mini ones.

I don't actually like this very much. I love the idea of random Candy Canes but i'm hopeless at doing "random" not to mention the red stripes are all over the place. They go outside the Candy Cane. Very sloppy on my part and i think i could have done better. I was just rushed and the red striper i have is absolute garbage! It's thick and goopy. It hasn't been used much but i probably need to thin it down a bit or chuck it. It smells really bad and is just some cheap brand i don't care for anyway.

Anyway on to what i used:
Base colour: China Glaze Emerald Sparkle.
Candy Cane white: LA Colors White striper.
Candy Cane red: Fraulein Red striper.

Hope you enjoy the rest of your friday and i'll see you tomorrow, probably with my xmas wish list! =)

25 Days of Christmas! Day 8. Xmas Puds!

Today Tonight is a quick one! I'm tired and i really wanted to get this post in before the clock struck midnight in less than an hours time!
I bring you Christmas Puddings!

My partner really liked these and thought this was a great idea!
Colours i used are:
Base colour: OPI Espresso your Style
Icing: Ulta3 Lily White
Holly: China Glaze Emerald Sparkle
Cherries on Holly: China Glaze Ruby Pumps
Toped with Seche Vite!

Hope you enjoy!
Night all!

25 Days of Christmas! Day 7. Anti-racist Gingerbread!

hahaha at the title! Today, i bring you gingerbread men! Not sure if i should call this a fail or not. While it kind of didn't look how i wanted/expected it too, it came out... ok. I mean they look like gingerbread so i guess that is a plus. I wanted them..... more cute! hahaha.

They look like they got put in the oven and got left longer than they should have! haha. I don't have a brown lighter than this. I just have never gotten around to getting a lighter brown or even a tan colour. Must put it on my wish list now. So for now i give you "Burnt Gingerbread Man"

Colours i used:
Base colour: Orly Snowcone
Gingerbread man: Essie Hot coco
Eyes, Mouth: Ulta3 Black Satin
Buttons: China Glaze Emerald Sparkle
White icing bits: LA Colors Art Deco Striper
Bow that i turned into a scarf: Fraulein striper in Red (some highly toxic, stinky polish)

Hope you all enjoy!

25 Days of Christmas! Day 6. Presents!

I am really enjoying doing this 25 days of Christmas! Today i have present nails (or gift nails, if you prefer). I didn't think it would do these as well as (i reckon) i did. I'm really happy with how they turned out!

Thumb & Pinky - 4 coats of Orly Winter Wonderland. Striped in Red the ribbon/bow. Then used a dotting tool to dot a white dot in the middle.
Pointer - China Glaze Emerald Sparkle. Striped in White with LA Art Deco striper, China Glaze Ruby Pumps for dot.
Middle - Ulta3 Precious, Striped in White with LA Art Deco striper, China Glaze Emerald Sparkle for dot.
& Ring - China Glaze Ruby Pumps, Striped in White with LA Art Deco striper, China Glaze Emerald Sparkle for dot.

I really would have liked to use some rhinestones instead of just dotting but i can't wear them at work. i think they would look great though!
Hope you all like! see you tomorrow!

25 days of Christmas! Day 4. Snowman nails.

I love snowmen! I think they are the cutest! Anything snowman i just have to have it! So you'll probably see a few different snowman designs from me! This is the first.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

25 Days of Christmas! Day 3. Stamped snowflakes!

I have been out christmas shopping all day today. I didn't come back with everything that i had hoped! Looked all over town for this damn ratchet spanner for my father in-law and came up empty handed. It took most of the day! Got most other things that i needed though. Just a few little things to go then i'm all done =) Anyway, this is what i wore! I had lots of compliments!

I used:
Base coat: OPI Nail Envy Original
Base colour: China Glaze Adore
Stamping with Konad plate M59 and
Stamped with Konad special white and black
coat of China Glaze Fairy Dust
Top Coat: Sally Hansen Insta-Dri

Blurry to show the holoness of Fairy Dust.

I am now off to wrap all the pressies i bought today. Have you started any christmas shopping yet?
Bye xo

25 Days of Christmas! Day 1

I am going to try and do a post every day until (and including) Christmas Day! I will have probably some random posts and as well as the obvious nails and nail art. If anyone has any suggestions as to what i should do (on anything christmas related to post) feel free to let me know!
We are going to kick this off with a simple Candy Cane pattern nail art.

I started with my normal base coat (OPI nail envy original). The base colour is China Glaze Ruby Pumps. I then striped 2 thin, 1 thick, 2 thin stripes with my white art deco striper. I then used a small brush and China Glaze Emerald Sparkle to stripe over the middle of the thick white line. I am in no way great at nail art or have much of a steady hand so please mind my wonky "lines" haha

Hope you have a great day.
See you tomorrow!

China Glaze Ruby Pumps!

I have a classic to show you today! Ruby Pumps! I know you've seen it all before but you will see it again... here... Today!

Ruby Pumps is from way back in 2001 when it came out in the original Wizard of oz collection and then China Glaze decided to re-release it again in 2009 to coincide with the 70th anniversary of the movie. This was 3 Coats of beautiful red sparkliness! Went on like a dream! I'm not a big red fan and you probably won't see me wear red much at all but has got to be one of the best colours i think China Glaze has done.

I then did some stamping with the full image design of the shoes from the bundle monster plate BM-213. I never actually thought i would use the shoe design! I am not a "shoe person" but i thought it was fitting to use it here! sorry about some of the stamping fail on the index and middle fingers. Worked as i planned it to on my pinky finger though! I also used the big bow from Konad plate M59 for the ring finger. All was done in Konad black special polish.

Enjoy the rest of your day and stayed tuned tomorrow for my 25 days of Xmas!

Color Club Love 'em Leave 'em!

Today's nails are... Color Club's Love 'em Leave 'em.

I really love this colour! It's subtle but it has a small amount of holo to it! I reckon this would be good for work or for job interviews. Formula was fantastic. This was 2 coats with Sally Hansen Insta-dri top coat.

Enjoy your week everyone! I definitely have Mondayitis and never look forward to going to work on Monday's!

Color Club Foiled Collection. *pic heavy*

I thought i would do some swatches of the Color Club Foiled collection. Not sure if i can get in on the whole just doing swatches, but we will see. Also, just for clarification, i purchased these with my own money.

 Antiquated.
Silver based Champagne gold (foil, obviously) 2 Coats.

 Cold Metal.
Deep Sapphire Blue foil. Only 1 coat needed.

 Foil me once.
Silver based light pink foil. 2 Coats.

 Hot Like Lava.
Magenta red/pink foil. 2 Coats.

 Lumin-icecent.
Silver based Icy Blue foil. 2 Coats.

 Perfect Mol-ten.
 Light Green foil. 2 Coats.

Overall, i was really surprised by this collection. I'm not a big fan of foils and apart from these i don't even think i have many others in my collection. I really liked all the colours in this collection. My favourites would probably be Antiquated, Cold Metal and Perfect Mol-ten. I umm'd and arhh'd over getting this collection but i'm glad i did. I don't know if i would wear them much on their own but they double as stamping polishes. Below, i have stamped each colour on a piece of paper. Just over the whiteness of the paper and then i used a straight up normal black and actually painted that on the paper. It worked out well i thought. haha.

So there you have it. My first lot of group swatches from one collection. Please tell me what you all think? I'd love some feedback on how i went! =)

*****Oh, and if there's anyone out there that can get their hands on the Color Club Scent-suous collection and can or is able to  help a few Aussie fellow nail geeks out. I know myself and a few others here in Aussieland would love to get our hands on some! Thanks. *****
Have a nice afternoon!
