Love Thy Polish - Gypsy

Hi everyone! Day 4 of LTP week!! I can't believe i have actually blogged 4 days in a row now! Record! lol This will be short and sweet tonight though, i just got home from work and am ready for bed.

Today's Love Thy Polish is Gypsy!

Gypsy is one of my all time favourites from LTP. It's everything i love in an indie polish.
Gypsy belongs to the Dreams collex, which was a collaboration between Emma (LTP) and Tammy (lacquer and leather, who is also doing LTP week) which was inspired by Fleetwood Mac.

I was lucky enough to score a free mini bottle when we all met up for the first time. I have since bought a full sized back up bottle i love it so much lol

Gypsy is a white milky based polish with magenta dots, turquoise blue dots and squares and a very fine sparkly holo like shimmer. <3
I used 3 coats and it was a Dream (haha get it?) to apply! I didn't have to fish at all for glitters but a tiny roll of the bottle between hands before application helps in grabbing more glitters.

Gypsy is still around for a little while longer so grab it while you can.

If you're living in Australia, Love Thy Polish can be purchased directly from her website "Love Thy Polish" Most of her polishes are AU$9.50, Mini's are AU$6.50 but they are a big 8ml mini's. Holo's are AU$12.

LTP Week! Love Thy Polish - Take over the World

Hi everyone!
Welcome to Love Thy Polish week! Lacquer & leather, Lacquer dreams, Pretty in Polish and myself are showcasing the awesome Aussie Indie brand Love Thy Polish!

I will be showing at least one of her polishes per day so stayed tuned for some awesomeness!!

Today i have Take Over the World to show you.
Does that sound familiar? If you remember and loved the TV cartoon show Pinky & the Brain, you'll love this!

Take over the World is part of the recent collection "Animation Celebration" and is available now. Check below to find out where.

Take over the world has a pale pink base with large red hex glitters and small white hex glitters. Application was a synch! This was three coats and one coat of C/N Wicked fast tc. The is opaque enough that it didn't need a base colour, which i thought it might need. There was also no fishing for the red hex glitter.

If your living in Australia, Love Thy Polish can be purchased directly from her website "Love Thy Polish" Most of her polishes are AU$9.50, mini's are AU$6.50 but they are a big 8ml mini. Holo's are AU$12.

If your living outside Australia, her polishes can be purchased from MeiMei's Signatures.

If none of the above suit, please beg and beg your closest vendor to stock Love Thy Polish ;) You won't regret it!

See you tomorrow!!

Loony Lacquer - S'more Sandwich collection & review

Hi all!
I have some awesome polishes for you today! I was kindly given the S'more sandwich collection to review from Marie over at Marie's Manicure Madhouse and her brand of polish, Loony Lacquer.

Chocolate:

A beautiful bronzed Chocolate brown. Perfect to apply. This was two coats. It was almost a one coater and i think you could get away with one coat if you were careful or layering something over the top. Anyone who knows me by now, knows i love Choc brown polishes. This is no exception. I will be purchasing another bottle ;)

Marsh mellow Mash:

Marsh mellow mash is great for layering over Chocolate. It has a mix of shiny and matte silver glitters of Squares and hex's of various sizes and also a few larger sized holo hex's. This was two thin coats over "Chocolate" and application was easy.

Busicuit (biscuit?) Anyone:

Also layered over "Chocolate", Busicuit Anyone is made up of gold squares, smaller gold holo squares and bigger holo hex's suspended in a clear base. This was two thin coats and easy to apply.
I must add that the bigger squares are indeed flat and are not curled as they may appear on the nail. Looking at my bottle right now they are definitely flat =)

S'more Please:

S'more Please is a mix of everything above. The beautiful Chocolate base colour plus larger holo hex's,  gold squares and silver small hex glitters. It's awesome if you want a bit of everything above in one polish without having to layer it. This was two easy to apply coats.

If your a lover of brown polish like i am, you'll love these. These are available from April 1st on Marie's Etsy shop Loony Lacquer for $9 each which is a steal for awesome indies. As far as i can see these are only available in Australia.
You can also keep up to date with Loony Lacquer on their Facebook page with new releases and more swatches.

(Polishes in the post were sent for honest review.)

Alanna Renee - Ablaze!

Today i have a new Aussie Indie brand to show. The brand is Alanna Renee, which is made by the awesome Alanna from Pretty Purple Polish!

About a week and a half ago she released her first polishes, a collection of 10. I bought all of them.
I am so glad i didn't pass this one up.

This is called Ablaze!

Ablaze is described as having a mix of orange, red & yellow shredded glitter, orange, red, yellow & black hex glitter in a fiery orange base. I used one coat of seche vite for this and thought it was fine. These pics were taken the next day and clearly it needed a second coat of seche vite.

If your interested in Alanna's new polish line, check out her website Alanna Renee. Her polishes are a very reasonable priced. For now she only ships within Australia though.
