Holo Shatter franken - Shattered Meteorite!

Hi all!
I had a totally different post in mind for today but i decided to change it at the last minute. As i sat down to read everyones blogs i came across a fellow Aussie blog i have been following since she started up,  Osiris and Loki paint their nails. I was inspired by her post today on a holo shatter. She came up with the point that no one had ever made one. As soon as i saw her awesome holo shatter polish i knew i had to try it myself. This is my attempt and i'm very happy with how it turned out.

I have named this Shattered Meteorite!

What i used:

OPI Black Shatter (or any black shatter will do)

Spectra Flair 

Empty polish bottle (i used a 3.75ml empty seche vite bottle)

I poured the Black Shatter into the empty bottle almost to the top then added 2 small (and i mean small) scoops of spectra flair and then shake, shake, shake!

I put this over two coats of Ulta3 Lily White. I topped it all off with one coat of Seche Vite.

Sorry & a Franken!

Sorry i haven't blogged in a few weeks. I have just been busy and i just haven't felt like blogging. I haven't painted my nails much lately either but even when i did i didn't even photograph them! Not sure what was going on with myself but i just didn't have any motivation! Winter is a big draw back for me full stop in no matter what i do i just have no motivation in winter! But now it's heading to warmer weather and longer days i am hoping i can get out of that and get more motivated to do.... well just anything really!

Anyway, Today i am wearing a franken i made probably about a month ago! I know, that's how slack i have been, waiting until now!

This is called "lollyshop" I get the weirdest names in my head! So this stuck! haha. This is a deep Raspberry with silver holo glitter!
I'm not sure on exact quantities on this but i had about 3/4 of a bottle of Ulta3 Pink Colada, poured a little bit of Ulta3 Party Shoes in to tone it down a bit and then added clear almost to the top. Then i got a bit carried away with sparkles and added way too much Silver Holo Glitter (from Coastal Scents). I put so much in that this was a one coater and a top coat eater uperer! Despite the bumpiness, I don't actually mind how it came out so i'm not going to say that this was a fail. I think next time less Holo Glitter and probably more Clear? Does anyone think that would work? Last photo blurred to show a bit of Holo. No sun AT ALL today so was hard to get!

Also, on a side note. I'm heading to Canberra for a few days over the weekend (along with going to bathurst to see the V8's on Sunday!) so i will have one or two days of shopping in Canberra while i'm there. Does anyone know of anywhere good to shop? I will be on the hunt for nail polish obviously and want to bring some goodies back!

NOTD + Some Frankening!

This is todays nails! Colour Club's scented polish in Raspberry Rush. Seems familiar? i realised after putting it on, i'd already done this colour not long ago! Who cares? right? I then stamped it with Color Clubs Revvvolution and with the bow from the Konad Plate, M59. 

Lately i have been playing around and frankening up some polishes! This is what i came up with for one of them. It was Ulta3's Silver Grey and i added the Silver Hologram Glitter i got from Coastal Scents a few weeks back!

It turned out ok. It looks a bumpy mess but there is so much holo going on, you barely notice it IRL! I was going to do one thin coat over the CC Raspberry Rush i already had on but that didn't work out the way i was hoping. I don't know why i even thought it would work! Derh!!!! So i slapped a second coat on after that. Sorry, no clean up was involved because as soon as i took the photos, i went back inside and took it all off! Franken Fail? or is it really ok? I might call this franken "Space Cadet" unless someone else has a better name for it?

ohhhh holo goodness!
