Born Pretty Store Review - Sweet Color Flakie polish

Hi everyone!
Sorry i haven't posted for 3 weeks! My mum came to visit for a week or so, then i went to Melbourne for a quick weekend trip. I came back from Melbourne and that night i went to turn on my iMac and it died. =( The capacitor fans cracked so i haven't had a computer since. I am hoping a - it gets fixed soon or b - I get a new iMac, which i kinda don't want as i love mine, but it is getting on in age now (7 years old)

Anyway, i have finally been able to edit some photos to be able to post, so today's post is a review from Born Pretty Store.

I selected a flakie polish to review. This is one of a few different kinds of flakie polishes that are available.

This sweet color flakie doesn't have a name but you can find it HERE. It's #4. This polish's flakies shift from a copper-y orange to a slight purple and then to green. In the right light and angle you can see all colours at once (see below)
This one two thin coats over my go-to one coater black (ulta3 black satin) The application and formula were a breeze! Very easy to apply and makes for some easy looking nail art.
No topcoat was used for photo's.

I then decided to do what everyone does with awesome flakies! I mattified them!!
I used one coat of China Glaze Matte Magic

World Diabetes Day mani - Essence It's Two Bright

Hi all!
Today is world Diabetes Day. This is the mani i wore.

This is Essence It's Two Bright

Nothing too exciting just a simple blue mani. A bright blue with a  jelly like finish. This was two coats and you can still see a tiny bit of VNL. Not so apparent in real life.

I then added the other end of the stick, the yellow/pink duochrome sparkly top coat. This was two coats but i wish i had just left it to one coat, it looked so much better!

OPI DS Illuminate!

I am so hating that it's heading in winter and that daylight savings end here in Australia this weekend! Boo! I love summer and it feels like it went quickly and quietly. It wasn't very hot at all..... well to me it wasn't, I love the heat and am sad to see it go for the next 6-8 months. I tried to fit in another holo but there was just no sun over the last couple of days.

This is OPI DS Illuminate.

Outside, Sunless

A beautiful Brown base with scattered micro sized holo glitter with a tiny flash of green duochrome. Love it! This was 2 coats. Formula was fantastic and very easy to apply. Mind the tip wear and tiny chip on my index finger. These photos were taken 2 days later when i thought the sun would have at least come out to play.

Outside, Shade

Artificial Light, blurry to show holo

Hope you all have a happy hump day!
See you again soon!

Essence Where is the Party?

Today i have a quick one..Kind of. I'm supposed to have started to pack a few things for my trip to Melbourne this weekend. Instead i thought i'd blog haha.
I love that Essence is now stocked at Target. I have bought so many recently but i hadn't actually worn any yet, until now. I chose to wear Where is the Party? first. Who could resist wearing this one first.

This was a beaut to apply. It's a purple and olive green duo chrome. I had trouble capturing the green outdoors in the sun but captured it quite nicely in the shade for some reason. This was 2 easy coats topped with SV.

(All images are clickable to enlarge)

This is the first photo i've ever taken of my hands this way and i love what i captured here. Mind my index finger i'm having trouble with it breaking on the corners, It looks horrible.

Enjoy your Hump Day!
