Love Thy Polish - I Shit Glitter!

Hi all!

Back for day 2 of Love Thy Polish week! If you missed yesterday's post, you can see it HERE.
Basically i am showing the awesome Love Thy Polish indie brand's awesome shades, at least one a day. There will be a few new unreleased ones in the mix too, so keep an eye out. You can also check out the other girls involved in it too, links are down below.

Today's shade is a Limited Edition which came out not long ago along side the Animation Celebration collex. Only 50 of these babies were released and as far as i'm aware there are still a *few* more left to purchase.

This is I Shit Glitter.

I Shit Glitter has an awesome dark chocolate brown base with tiny scattered holo particles through it.
Name speaks for itself really lol The sparkle was a bit hard to capture, especially when there was no sun around today. This was two easy coats and one coat of Cult Nails Wicked Fast tc.

If you're living in Australia, Love Thy Polish can be purchased directly from her website "Love Thy Polish" Most of her polishes are AU$9.50, Mini's are AU$6.50 but they are a big 8ml mini's. Holo's are AU$12.

If your living outside of Australia, Sorry this is not available but please check out MeiMei's Signatures as she has selected shades available, with worldwide shipping.

If neither option above suits, please beg and beg your closest vendor to stock Love Thy Polish ;)

See you tomorrow!!

B collection by Bloom - Boston; & Ninja Polish Love, Lace 'n Lawsuits

Hi all!

As it basically into winter now, i have been trying to pull out some darker wintery shades..... It's not happening that much as i'm not the kind of person who wears dark vampy colours. I'm a neon type of girl through and through.

I cannot however, pass up a good chocolate brown!

I got this brown polish in a blog sale about 6 months and used it not long after, but it has been sitting in my "ready to blog" folder for, well basically since then haha.

This is Boston by an Aussie brand called Bloom.

Boston is an awesome deep medium Chocolate brown cream. I remember it was actually awesome to apply. This was 2, maybe 3 coats, i can't quite remember.

I then applied Ninja Polish/Coverband Love, Lace 'n Lawsuits over the top. I absolutely love this combo and it is something different you don't see all the time. =) Excuse my crappy cuticles. If you hadn't already guessed it. It is a dupe (or near dupe) of Lynnderella's Love, Lace & Lilacs lol

Have a great night!

Loony Lacquer - S'more Sandwich collection & review

Hi all!
I have some awesome polishes for you today! I was kindly given the S'more sandwich collection to review from Marie over at Marie's Manicure Madhouse and her brand of polish, Loony Lacquer.

Chocolate:

A beautiful bronzed Chocolate brown. Perfect to apply. This was two coats. It was almost a one coater and i think you could get away with one coat if you were careful or layering something over the top. Anyone who knows me by now, knows i love Choc brown polishes. This is no exception. I will be purchasing another bottle ;)

Marsh mellow Mash:

Marsh mellow mash is great for layering over Chocolate. It has a mix of shiny and matte silver glitters of Squares and hex's of various sizes and also a few larger sized holo hex's. This was two thin coats over "Chocolate" and application was easy.

Busicuit (biscuit?) Anyone:

Also layered over "Chocolate", Busicuit Anyone is made up of gold squares, smaller gold holo squares and bigger holo hex's suspended in a clear base. This was two thin coats and easy to apply.
I must add that the bigger squares are indeed flat and are not curled as they may appear on the nail. Looking at my bottle right now they are definitely flat =)

S'more Please:

S'more Please is a mix of everything above. The beautiful Chocolate base colour plus larger holo hex's,  gold squares and silver small hex glitters. It's awesome if you want a bit of everything above in one polish without having to layer it. This was two easy to apply coats.

If your a lover of brown polish like i am, you'll love these. These are available from April 1st on Marie's Etsy shop Loony Lacquer for $9 each which is a steal for awesome indies. As far as i can see these are only available in Australia.
You can also keep up to date with Loony Lacquer on their Facebook page with new releases and more swatches.

(Polishes in the post were sent for honest review.)

Aussie Nails Monday - Ombre

Hi everyone!

This weeks ANM is Ombre! I've never tried an Ombre before. I went with my favourite colour of course which is Brown.

I have a tonne of brown in my drawers so it was hard to pick some browns that were actually different enough and then also ones that would actually work in an Ombre. I think i did ok but i would have used a different shade another time for my middle finger.

I used all OPI polishes for this design.
Thumb: My boyfriend scales the walls. Obviously not a brown but i love Ombre's that start with white.
Index: Don't Pretzel my buttons
Middle: A-Taupe the Space Needle
Ring: You don't know Jacques
Pinky: Suzi loves Cowboys.

Manglaze - Santorum!

Hi all!
Two posts in three days, go me! haha! I do have to say it is a quick one though.
Tonights posts is one i have had sitting in my "to be blogged" album for quite some time. I took these playing around with my partners Canon 5D MkII and had hoped to by now, mastered some sort of thing resembling a photo with my nails in it. I think i did a pretty good job to start with. I don't get his camera out often as camera's and i do not go well together haha I am just terrible at using them. I really should get it out more and play around with the settings....

This is Manglaze Santorum.

This is my one and only Manglaze polish! I got it in a grab bag and i felt i was totally lucky as i love browns! I really have a lemming for more.
If you don't already know, most (or all of) Manglaze's polishes are of a matte finish. I really like that. You also then have the option of adding a topcoat to make it glossy and giving it another dimension.

Also, i just want to point out, if you have a queazy stomach, i suggest you do not look up the meaning of "Santorum" hahaha

That's all for tonight!

Shelby turned one! (pic heavy)

On Friday my puppy turned one! wow the 10-12 months went by fast and she has grown into a lovely little doggie! She is a Chocolate Brown and White Border Collie. I love her to bits, so she was my inspiration for my nails this weekend!

This is OPI - Suzi Loves Cowboys. A rich chocolate brown creme. Reminds me of melted dark chocolate, especially once you put a topcoat on and it's all nice and glossy! Yum!! I did this at night and used two coats to what i thought was opaque, added Sally Hansen Insta-dri Top Coat, went to bed. I woke up in the morning and went to go take photos and realised it was still had a few ever so slight bald patches in places so i added another coat of Suzi then another coat of Insta-dri top coat. You might have not been able to see it in photos but it annoyed me! haha
