Beauty Joint Haul!

I finally have time to post this up! I was so excited when i got these in the mail last week and just in time for the weekend to have a little play around with.

My Milani 3D's
L - R: HD, 3D, Hi-Tech, Digital, Hi-Res, Cyberspace.

Kleancolor Holo's
L - R: Holo Pink, Holo Blue, Holo Chrome.

You can see about 1/5 missing of the Blue Holo, not really impressed as that is how it came, and most of the bottles looked like they had been opened but i can't be too sure about that part!

Kleancolour Chunky Holo's
L - R: Chunky Holo Candy, Chunky Holo Teal, Chunky Holo Purple.

These are all showing up darker in the pics than they actually are but only a shade or two though.

Art Deco stripers in White & Black.

Swatches below! All pictures are clickable to make them large! check out all the holoness!

Milani HD, Hi-Tech, 3D, Cyberspace, Digital, Hi-Res.
First 3 were 2 coats and could of done with 3. Last 3 were 3 coats. No idea
why i didn't do another coat on the rest!

Kleancolors Holo Pink, Holo Blue, Holo Chrome. All 3 Coats.

Again these are showing up darker than they are specially the chrome one. It is actually purple and
only really has a hint of blue. Where they got the name chrome from... beats me!

It seems i'm going through a Pink, Blue, Purple phase! haha

Kleancolor Chunky Holo Candy, Chunky Holo Blue, Chunky Holo Purple. All 3 coats.
I wouldn't call these holo at all! It's more like a multichrome flakies type glitter.
definitely not holo!

Also these polishes stink to high heaven. When i opened the package it came in, i could smell it straight away and i thought some had broken. It was that bad! That was before i even unwrapped the bubble wrap and opened the bottle. Kind of worth it for all the holo goodness though! haha

Some stamping!

I hate Winter!....... with a passion. I get so uninspired, lazy, whatever, you name it!
I feel i do my nails less in winter, i guess i just want to come home from work, make dinner and curl up on the couch or in bed where it's warm. We live in an old house with one reverse cycle a/c in one room! So that's where we spend our time, tv or on the computers, then straight to bed. Boring i know! If i decide to do my nails. lately it's just a slather of colour and that's enough. No stamping, no nail art. So this time, i thought i'd better do some, to try and get my mojo (i guess you could call it that) back.

Base colours used are:
China Glaze - Liquid Leather
OPI - No Room For The Blues (ring finger)

Stamping:
Konad Image Plate - M73
Konad Special Polish in Black
Konad Special Polish in Blue (Sky Pearl i think it's called)

Until next time, Enjoy the week ahead!

Nail Polish Vending Machine!

That's right! A nail polish VENDING MACHINE!
You might have already seen this on other blogs like i have but i found it when i was in Queensland a couple of weeks ago. It's located in Robina Shopping centre on the Gold Coast, which was great as we were going there anyway! An Aussie brand "PiCture POlish" came up with this. I have mixed feelings about it. It's awesome and fun but i find myself asking "why?" It's a weird concept.

I did buy just one polish from the machine but i wish i had bought a few more! The machine wasn't hot at all which i was surprised. All the polishes come stuck on a bit of cardboard and in a little clear package. They also have a fairly soft landing too!

This was the polish i got from the machine was "Denim" I will have a swatch post on this but it won't be for a little while. I have a reason for that.

Hope you all enjoy the rest of your day!

Wicked Mani!

I love love love this mani i did the other day and i am jealous i didn't come up with it!  My co-worker gets her nails done at a salon and came into work the next day and said "see, i got crackle like you've got!"
She had white as a base, purple crackle and holo glitter on top (which looked like OPI's Servin' up sparkle from the Serena Williams collection, but i i couldn't ask her, she wouldn't have the slightest clue haha)

I didn't have the purple shatter "fault line" from China Glaze or the OPI serena one so i changed it up a bit, which is a nice idea anyway as i didn't want to fully copy her.
This was 9 coats of polish all up! wow!

Base coat: OPI Nail Envy Original for strengthening (from having acrylics previously)
2nd coat: Revitanail Ridge Filler (again from having acrylics, and where a few nails have peeled at the tips) this really helps.
3rd, 4th, 5th coats - 3 Coats of China Glaze's c-c-courage (a bluey- purple with purple and silver microshimmer)
6th coat: Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Top coat (supposed to be anti-chip but meh)
7th coat: China Glaze white crackle in Lightening Bolt
8th coat: China Glaze Fairy Dust
9th coat: Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Top coat

I find it very useful to use a coat of fast drying topcoat between the base colour and the crackle colour, one, it dries fast so you don't have to wait, and then especially if the crackle is white or lighter colours. I find it doesn't "soak" up any base colour when you put your crackle down. It keeps your base colour the way it's mean't to be and then, in my case, it keeps the white white and bright and doesn't have that purple tone to it.

Blurry to show effects of fairy dust.

Hope you all like this as much as i do, i'm not taking it off anytime soon haha
Enjoy your day!

Back from Holidays & FOA Iron Ore!

Hi all! I'm back from holidays. We had a fantastic time seeing family in Queensland! It went way too fast and i'm not ready to go back to work on monday! I'll have a separate post on our time away soon as i have something everyone will definitely be interested in, as well as a haul on polishes i bought in Qld.

Todays post is Face of Australia's Iron Ore. It is from their Molten Metallics collection which was released around May this year. I had this on last week and took it off the night before we left for Qld. thinking i would of done my nails the next day. I wish i left it on as it's an awesome colour. I love it! it makes me feel like wearing it again! This is my first Face of Australia polish and i definitely want more!
Iron Ore is black with a silver micro shimmer. To me, the shimmer looks a little aqua blueish too. Probably only to me though haha. It applied very well and was opaque in 2 coats.

Erhh.. yes, this was taken on my iPhone in the car! haha

Inside, Indirect light

Outside, Sunlight

Hope you all enjoy your weekend!
See you next time!
