Indie Month - Elevation Polish McGoun

Hi everyone!

Today i have the second post for Indie Month! Yay!
The awesome Lulu from Elevation Polish & I dig Brown nail polish sent me two (of the four) upcoming polishes from her new collection called "Morocco" Like always her polishes are named after mountains, so obviously with this collection, each polish is named after mountains in Morocco. I love that she has a theme to her brand and has stuck with it through out.

I have the polish "M'Goun" to show you today.

Two coats, no base colour. Seche Vite top coat.

M'Goun has a sandy micro hex glitter suspended in clear. This is very unique. As soon as i saw this, i knew i'd love it. Top picture is two coats alone with one coat of seche vite.

Below i have layered two coats of M'Goun over a nude polish. This has no topcoat. The texture when dried is amazing. It is definitely like i have just dipped my wet polish into sand haha. Is it weird that i like the feeling??

With the texture of this polish being a bit rough, you need to probably use two coats of top coat. Below i have only used one. I used Seche Vite.
Unfortunately the forumula with this was very thick. I actually used thinner to thin it down a bit to make it manageable. I still really love the polish but that was a bit of a let down. Hopefully Lulu can control this before her collection comes out.

This is due for release in October, I believe around the 7th? She restocks her shop on the 7th of every month. They retail for $8-$10 USD. She ships worldwide. All her polishes are hand mixed and at least 3-free (some are 5-free), she also uses stainless steel mixing balls with all her polishes.
At this time, she doesn't have a facebook page but you can check her and her shops here:

This was sent to me for review.

See you next time for more Indie polish goodies!

  1. It LOOKS like sand! Heh. It's definitely unique but I don't think I'm a fan of matte glitter.

  2. This looks just like sand! Maybe this will be what the China Glaze Texture polishes will be like.
